Brain, thoughts and everything

"What is a THOUGHT?". This question keeps haunting me every now and then. I keep thinking about a thought.  The more carefully I observe my own thoughts and its impact the more it give s me an insight about the THOUGHT. Neuro lingusitic programmings (NLP) psychological, philosophical, motivational, spiritual, positive thinking literature and blogs points out the importance of our thought process which manifest into reality. ‘As a Man Thinketh’.by , James Allen is one of my favorite book. Allen has explained that what thought you saw, you will reap it. Its the universal law which we hear in different circumstances.

When I observed my thought process and found out that its really true that what we think comes into reality. I knew this since long time. But today I have a different level of realization about the same thing.  Scientists are trying to understand working of our brain. There are different theories put forward to explain its behavior and working principle. 

Here I am rejuvenating an old theory of THOUGHT. Our /brain is accepted as super computer which is capable of creating reality. Thought is a front end programming language which we use to talk and get answers from our brain We get input through all sensory parts and all impulses in a nerve cell are related to machine language. However, we  input the data and get the output using thoughts. I think that thought is front end programming language which we use to talk and get answers from our brain. This old realization has changed my perspective towards so many things about life. Hope you will enjoy thinking more about THOUGHT and find out your own answer about the question, "What is a THOUGHT?"

Volunteering

I was familiar with the word, volunteer. I checked its dictionary definition - To perform or offer to perform a service of one's own free will. We know many words but after all the meaning of the words are recognized deeply after we encounter them in a real life situations. Yes, I have started volunteering after coming to Canada. I heard that one has to do volunteer work in order to get started in new country. Most of the time industry people are not willing to take risk with hiring a new comer. I guess new comer might have started this volunteer work concept in a job environment. In a social aspect, the volunteers are needed for fund raising and doing community services.

I was frustrated and did not understand what to do in Toronto. I found Toronto volunteer website. I was amazed to find the dedicated website on which people put their advertisement for volunteer work. So, I have decided to go out and do some volunteer work. This website gave me the opportunity. My aim was to meet people so that I can interact with them. I want to know the work culture here. It's quiet different than my past background.

I talked with few friends here. They shared their experience about volunteering in Toronto. In the media industry, most of the people take advantage of volunteer. Mostly , everyone does volunteer work with hope to join that company in future or with the experience certificate, their chance to get other job will increase. My friend told me that sometimes people work for almost 6 months to one year without getting any job.

I started volunteer work for fun. My first volunteer experience was with Toronto Green Community. It was the wonderful experience. I worked as volunteer for eco-gift wrapping during Christmas. I met lot of people and wrapped gifts. In high schools, you need to do volunteer social service for 20 hrs. I met lot of teens from high school, who came there to get a letter for community service credit in school. I liked this concept of school community volunteer thing. It gives opportunity to develop people skills.

I always wanted to join old people home or orphanage to do social service. I got this opportunity through volunteer website. I am going to the long-term care for old people as the volunteer. There are people from 90-100 yr old. It is a very enriching experience helping the old people to have fun and entertainment.

I have talked a lot about volunteer word. :) . Now I have started my technical volunteer work as a job too.

Hope this will lead me to my dream place.

Have you taken the motivation pill today?

When you fall sick? What happens to your health?
You feel tired and you have dizziness.
Sometimes you are not able to get up or do nything.

You go to doctor and he asks the symptoms. Then he gives you some medicine. These medicine fights back with the virus inside your body,
You recover back sooner or later depending upon severity of the illness.

I bet you that negativity and depression are mental sickness. These are impacting  our mind daily.
We feed our mind with all negative thoughts as soon as we get failure.
We need to treat this negativity sickness right away. Before it turns to major illness.

Take a motivation pill everyday. It should be taken thrice a day.
Whats motivation pill?
Reading/listening motivational article and tapes, quotes, discussion with people having a positive mental attitude.
Or  it can be simply an action of taking motivation pill. It does make difference. You have to give motivation pill to your subconscious mind everyday.

Make world positive space. :)

What If You Have Universal Virtual Currency .............

I was comparing different currencies and their values. It's astonishing that the system of currency has evolved from simple give and take form to a today's virtual currency. Nevertheless, it's challenging to think about future of the financial system. Last year, I read Alvin Tofler's Future Shock, it occurred to me that everything changes at a fast rate. Everything in this world is followed by the exponential law. When we talk about change in anything, it is related to acceptance of that change by society.

We have a different financial system in different parts of the world. I want to evaluate, if this system is changed to a single system just like the traffic system, having few ground rules which are followed by everyone. There are few financial laws and methods which are used universally. Still I feel that due to Globalization, certainly after few years, we will have same currency everywhere which will definitely be the virtual numbers. We will not be converting or comparing the currency in this virtual system.

I am not an economist and I can not evaluate its impact to deeper extent. But, It will definitely bring revolutionary change in today's global world. We always talk about profit and loss in the financial system. During initial phases of its change, its going to be tough because all the countries with strong economy will have to bear loss and definitely to other struggling countries , it will be good kick start for growth. It will bring equality as well as reduce competition in the financial world. I may be sounding like dumb, but ultimately money is the power. Everyone wants that power to be used to rule the world. I am suggesting that money should be considered equal in all the part. I can see that to certain extent, this concept has started evolving in other terms. For example, when we want to compare billionaires, we always convert their wealth in USD. It's simple to think that comparison should be always made in same units. Other examples can also be thought on the same lines.

I was caught with this weird thought and I wanted to write it down to have more discussion. It's tempting to ask the question, " What if we have universal virtual currency all over the world ?"

I have same opinion about electronic gadgets and buying costly things. They should serve the purpose. When I came to Toronto, I left my cell phone in India. U cant imagine that how much addicted we are to cell phones. I use to feel phone ring every now and then. It continued for almost 2 months. I kept on taping my pocket every now and then to make sure cell phone is there. Its just our mind which gets trained and we call it addiction. Now I forgot the cell phone. I hardly get call on my landline.

I had argument about buying better and better stuff with my friend sometime back. I liked her point. I am not sure that I agree with her or not. When we are talking old TV and comparing with LCD TV. It was not affordable to any body few years back. Now I can buy it.
When our parents bought new TV. They had struggle to buy that TV during their days. They have really worked hard to buy it and so they dont want to replace it. If we still go back to past during our grand grand parents. They didnt have TV. Werent they happy? I dont know. They might have different types of problems.

Ultimately, technology or money or any other thing wont bring happiness and satisfaction. It is true that when we see other people having better and costlier stuff, we get temptation to buy it. Its human psychology. Our parents are happy with what they have is because they are developed that way.

What is thought?

I happened to read a book by Eric Baum " What is thought?". The book repetitively asserts that the mind is a computer program. I started thinking about this concept further. I observed myself more consciously and noted my thoughts and behavior. Mind is certainly a computer program which is known since long time. Intelligence machines and Artificial neural network fields are introduced based on the inspiration from working principle of brain.
I am always surprised to see that what ever we invent or create , it has some link or relation to the nature. Someone might think that what a big deal in this sentence. Its well known truth that everything is driven and conceived through nature. My point is that what we think and do or create or invent is already exists in this universe. We are researching those things and using it for our benefit. Ultimately, we are in a process of developing a human being which exists on this earth.
